Emma Dawson, Founder & MD
With 25 years in the beauty industry under her belt, Emma brings a wealth of luxury brand experience to Blanket. In her previous life, she was UK Communications Director for the L’Oréal LUXE portfolio of brands and before that she could be found at the Estée Lauder Companies.
“I was incredibly fortunate to be working for the world’s largest beauty company at a time when Communications as a whole was going through some seismic changes. Taking time to properly navigate this (then) emerging world of social media, we quickly recognised that customers were becoming critics and creators and that we needed to listen, engage, inspire and create with them rather than for them. I firmly believe that it is more important than ever to strategically entwine all forms of communication to ensure that messages are never disjointed or confusing.”
Holly Holman, MD | Communications
In her 10-years in the beauty industry, Holly has ticked off some major brands. Holly held the position of UK Communications & Digital Engagement Director for YSL Beauty and in her diverse role she oversaw PR, communications, social strategy for brand/retailer and events. Before this, Holly lent her skills to Lancôme and LVMH.
“I have never been someone who just focuses on PR, I believe PR and social strategy must feed into each other and both are equally vital to a business. I like to think that thanks to our 360˚ approach, our brands feel our constant presence despite us not physically being in their office. We work collectively as a team on every brief; together we analyse the right audience we want to target and how we can most effectively reach them. The fact that no two strategies are the same makes my job so interesting.”
Emily Shanks, MD | Partnerships
With 11 years managing many of the most respected and successful talent at Storm Management, Emily brings a strategic, level-headed approach to building sustainable brand partnerships. With a unique access which enables her to work closely with talent to find the most effective and authentic way to communicate a brand story in digital.

A beauty lover for as long as she can remember, Charlotte knew she needed to work in the industry but wasn’t sure in what capacity. Fast forward 10 years and she has had a stellar career in communications during which time she has worked with some leading brands including Bobbi Brown, Viktor & Rolf and her lifelong dream, Giorgio Armani Beauty. During her 6 years at L’Oréal, the beauty landscape changed dramatically; Charlotte embraced the opportunity and has a reputation second to none went it comes to finding new, strategic and innovative ways of communicating brand stories.
Milly Green, Senior Communications Manager
Milly joins the Blanket team with 10 years experience within the beauty PR industry, where she has worked across a number of luxury brands including ghd and Bobbi Brown. She utilises her expertise to combine forward-thinking influencer partnerships with traditional media activations, which she pioneered well before the approach was widely acknowledged.
Izzy Gibbons, Communications Manager
Izzy joins the Blanket team with 7 years industry knowledge, during which time she worked across various brands including SkinCeuticals, NARS and Avène. Her genuine passion for science-led skincare is invaluable to Blanket’s clients where she uses her expertise to bring exciting influencer and PR strategies to each brand individually.
Joanna North, Communications Assistant Manager
Having joined Blanket in 2018 as one of its first employees, Joanna continues to be a key support to the business, using her close proximity to the team to learn and experience brand communications and talent projects first-hand.
Claudia Mely, Senior Communications Assistant
Claudia’s love for the beauty industry started at a young age when she began working in beauty retail part-time alongside her studies. After leaving South Africa in 2017 as a qualified makeup artist and with a degree in corporate communications, London was her destination beauty hub to fuel her passion further! She has continued to fulfil her ambition by working with multiple prestige and mass brands across the beauty sector.
Polly Hughes, Communications Assistant
Polly had always dreamt of working in the beauty industry, and with a degree in Business Management with a specialism in Marketing and Digital Communications, the transition to her role at Blanket was seamless. She was an intern at Blanket after graduating from Cardiff University, and had previously completed an internship at Walgreens Boots Alliance.
Becca Rocha, Division Head Partnerships & Casting
After training as a makeup artist, the transition to a beauty focussed agency was an obvious choice. Starting her career as an agent at international model agency Wilhelmina, Becca joined Blanket’s partnerships division, where she uses her industry insight to nurture talent and construct meaningful brand partnerships.
Sueki Sehint, Partnerships & Casting Assistant
Sueki joins Blanket’s Partnerships & Casting division with experience in both influencer marketing and talent management. Her degree from King’s College, combined with her previous experience within the industry allows hers to nurture long standing partnerships between talent and brands within the beauty space.
Deborah Hagos, Team Assistant
Debs joins the Blanket team for her placement year during her Economics degree. Her love of brand design and strategic thinking is an asset to Blanket’s client roster, and she hopes to use her experience to pursue a career in brand consulting once she’s completed her degree.
Mia Minchin, Team Assistant
Mia’s desire to explore brand development, growth and strategy through the use of PR and talent partnerships encouraged her to pursue a placement year during her Business Management studies. She hopes to use her experience to move into brand consultation and growth, making use of the techniques she has learnt during her time at Blanket.
